🌱 Reflecting on an incredible summer journey as part of a dynamic team shaping an emerging community! ☀️🌍 For two transformative weeks in Portugal, I had the privilege of being part of the facilitation team, leading a community on a path of connection, growth, and collaboration. We embarked on a journey fueled by participatory leadership, community building, and the power of togetherness. In my toolkit were a variety of community-building gems: from the art of hosting to decentralized decision-making tools. These resources acted as bridges, helping us weave stronger connections, fostering shared visions, and crafting a clear roadmap for the future. Witnessing the impact of these tools was simply inspiring. They not only brought us closer as a community but also empowered us to put our personal and collective needs at the forefront. 🌟 The heart of community development lies in our ability to come together, listen deeply, and chart a path formed by our collective wisdom. As we move forward, I'm excited to see our community thrive, leveraging these tools to create a vibrant and inclusive space for all voices to be heard. Here's to the art of hosting, decentralized decisions, and the magic of genuine community engagement! 🌈✨ #CommunityDevelopment #ParticipatoryLeadership #ArtOfHosting #DecentralizedDecisionMaking #Togetherness #Empowerment #SharedVisions https://lnkd.in/dyVRjd_4

We recommend you read this new guide from the Department for Communities (https://lnkd.in/eCa8pG6e) and Ulster University in Northern Ireland, which offers practical guidance, examples, and resources for applying social value principles and methods to this sector. You will also find out how the Social Value Engine, a tool we developed to measure and report social value, can help you with your projects. The Social Value Engine is featured in the guide as one of the social value toolkits available, and it is used by several organisations and projects in the cultural heritage and arts field. You can access the guide for free here: https://lnkd.in/en8kpsjB And don’t forget to visit our website to learn more about the Social Value Engine and how it can support you with your social value journey. #SocialValue #CulturalHeritage #Arts #SocialValueEngine #GoodPracticeGuide

“A sustainable and fair future will be a distant dream if we do not work with children and give them the space to collaborate and creatively work together to find solutions to global issues. Children are solution finders.” - emphasizes Konstantina, our dear host from Stimmuli For Social Change Greece. Children, as Konstantina rightly points out, are natural solution-finders. Their untapped creativity, unfiltered perspectives, and boundless imagination hold the key to finding innovative answers to some of our world’s most complex challenges. By giving them the space to collaborate and express their ideas, Global Children’s Designathon becomes a catalyst for nurturing the next generation of problemsolvers and changemakers. 🚀 We hope you are inspired to join the designathon movement. The Influential Role of Community Engagement in Technology Innovation The success and sustainability of our local innovation economy hinge significantly on active community engagement and investment. The transformational power of community participation can be seen in organizations such as GO Virginia, RBTC, RAMP, and VIPA which foster a supportive culture, mobilize financial resources, promote collaboration, and align policies with community interests.
