People. Performance. Progress. The needle in DEI moves when leaders come together and push for their organizations—and society at large—to see the value of different perspectives in business. For the third straight year, World 50 surveyed members of our Inclusion & Diversity Impact community on the state of DEI initiatives. What we found is encouraging: Momentum continues, with 72% experiencing a surge in DEI initiatives over the past year. But, not without obstacles—both from inside and outside organizations. Download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dXDxEKMj Regardless of pressures, "There are a lot of people behind the scenes who want to do the work," said Lydia Smith, MBA, chief diversity officer at Victoria’s Secret & Co. Our report is a synthesis of that critical work so far, and the strategies that organizations are implementing to move us forward. A huge thanks to these DEI trailblazers for sharing their stories and insights to bring this report to life: Karyn Twaronite, Abiola Telesford Jeremiah, Julie Coffman, Melvyn Smith Jr., MBA, Sabrina Becker, Shannon Schuyler, Nichole Barnes Marshall, Sunita Rebecca Cherian, Lydia Smith, MBA, Tanya E. Leaders need to be accountable for actual, not performative, change in order to make headway in DEI. @World 50’s 2023 I&D Impact Report revealed that 62% of DEI executives did not think their leaders were effectively held accountable for I&D results. How are leaders creating cultures of accountability and meaningful change? More insights, and a link to download the research, below.
