Vice President of IT/Management Systems

ExplorUS is a family-owned company with nearly 30 years of experience operating National, State, and local park concessions. Over the years we have worked to enhance, elevate, and complement the visitor’s experience at each park, landmark, and property we operate. We’re seeking a Vice President of IT/Management Systems to manage the technical infrastructure of our fast-growing company of over 100 locations. This full-time position reports to the CEO and is based in our Overland Park, KS corporate office. Travel up to 20% required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and defining IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
• Establish an efficient framework of repeatable, scalable processes for a centralized IT organization servicing multiple business units.
• Enhance overall operations through technological design and development. Identify opportunities for streamlining workflows.
• Develop IT budget plans that align with both long-term and short -term objectives.
• Lead risk management and cybersecurity programs.
• Oversee compliance management processes and security technical operations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on software tools and technology.
• Collaborate to develop technology strategies and implementation plans with management and stakeholders.
• Advise senior management on strategic systems and platform conversions.
• Manage integration decisions in support of business goals and objectives.
• Develop the deployment of new IT systems and services.
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum three to five years’ experience in an information technology leadership role. ERP conversion expertise required. POS system knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience managing large IT projects with in-depth knowledge of enterprise-wide software conversions.
• Demonstrated experience with IT infrastructures across various technologies and operations best practices.
• Solid understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems and phone systems.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent project management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
