Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • 2 years of experience in design systems.
  • 1 year of experience with Figma.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Java, Objective-C, C++, or C#.
  • Experience in Figma or other design tools, with an excellent, clean visual design sense.
  • Proficiency with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) or 3D modeling software.
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams including research scientists, UI and 3D artists, interaction designers, game developers, full-stack software and hardware engineers, and marketing and business teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Passion for rapid prototyping, hack-a-thons, game jams, and a general love of making new things.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the building the overall strategy and user interface, from concept exploration through implementation, working closely with UX, Hardware, Product Management, and Software Engineers to build designs.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process by making compelling designs and concepts and expressing them in compelling visual and verbal ways, such as: stories, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, models, 2D/3D mockups, prototypes.
  • Rationalize and justify design work clearly, and advocate for users’ needs.
  • Work closely with researchers to better inform designs and focus on our users.
  • Interpret and translate complex technologies into simple and beautiful products and user experiences.
