Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated leader responsible for the operation of a specific program or programs. As a member of our team, you will manage licensed insurance Agents by providing real time support, training, drive company goals, and accurately portray information provided by clients/carriers that we represent. The Manager conducts selling activities related to inbound and outbound calls inquiring about individual Medicare programs. The position requires a solid understanding of how organizational capabilities interrelate across department(s) and overall business goals. This role requires a unique ability to develop relationships, analyze information and influence a virtual sales team to increase engagement and get the needed results. You will be working in a matrixed environment with multiple groups while ensuring that resources are used effectively to improve processes and achieve sales goals.

We Are Looking For An Exceptional Individual Who Can

  • Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Bloom’s commitment to superior service, including quality, care and concern.
  • Mentor, coach, and motivate virtual licensed insurance representatives. Monitor and evaluate departmental and staff performance and administer staff evaluations.
  • Monitor and lead a virtual sales call center and a team of licensed insurance Agents.
  • Manage the daily operations of the department including all workflows, turnaround times, production levels and staffing schedules on a daily and monthly basis, within budgetary and business planning guidelines.
  • Ensure coverage of all shifts as required. Develop and approve staff work schedules.
  • Collaborate with management peers to prepare and present reports to Director.
  • Utilize multiple online licensed agent tools to assist agents while providing exceptional sales experiences.
  • Track all sales activities and drive quarterly sales goals.
  • Interpret complex reports, technical concerns, sales trends, and regulatory information. Provide publications distilling into actions as needed.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate improved sales results through performance management.
  • Collaborate with other professionals cross-functionally to ensure regulatory requirements are met for licensed insurance agents.
  • Review and update company policies and procedures as needed and annually to keep them current and within carrier guidelines.
  • Additional opportunities to manage projects and improve processes as needed.
  • Conduct annual and periodic evaluations of Floor Managers.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to create and track incentive plans.
  • Participate in calibration sessions with the client to provide agent feedback on call quality.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred
  • Active Health Insurance License in good standing is required
  • 5+ years in a leadership role (preferred Medicare Leadership), with a proven track record of driving sales performance
  • Experience in broker-style settings with high-risk accounts is required
  • Experience in upselling Medicare members in a PDP cross-selling is preferred.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on Medicare programs (eg. Cross Sell, OB, Medicare Advantage)
  • Highly analytical (strong previous utilization of spreadsheets) and passion for data-driven problem-solving with experience in interpreting clinical quality data analytics and outcomes measurements to drive change
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to organize and operationalize projects.
  • Ownership and accountable mentality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work quickly and adjust priorities gracefully
