Campaign status definitions in Campaign Manager

Last updated: 2 months ago

You can check the status of your campaign to help determine if your ads can be displayed to members of your target audience. For an ad to be displayed, the campaign group status, campaign status, and ad status must be active.

Here's a tip

If your campaign status isn’t Active, you might need further action for your ads to be displayed.

Campaign status Definition
Active The campaign is active and can display ads to members in your target audience.
Draft The campaign hasn't been launched and isn’t running. You can edit the campaign to finish launching it.
Paused The campaign has been paused and isn't running. You can edit your campaign while it's paused and reactivate it later.
Completed

The campaign has reached its end date or lifetime budget and has stopped running. You can reactivate a completed campaign if needed.

A campaign might show as completed if the campaign’s daily budget has been reached for the day. If only the daily budget has been reached, the campaign will automatically start running again the next day.

Archived The campaign has been archived and isn’t running. You can only edit conversion tracking on an archived campaign.
Deleted The campaign has been deleted. Once a campaign has been deleted, the action can't be reversed. When you delete a campaign, all ads in that campaign will also be deleted. If you’ve used the ad in other places (for example, if it’s been sponsored or duplicated), it won’t be deleted in those places.
Not delivering - Scheduled  The campaign will start displaying ads once the campaign start date is reached.
Not delivering - Audience too small The campaign’s audience size needs to be increased to allow the campaign to run. The minimum audience size is 300 members.
Not delivering - No active ads The campaign can’t display impressions because there are no active ads in the campaign. You can review the status of ads in the campaign or add new ads to the campaign.
Not delivering - Group is paused The campaign can’t display impressions because the campaign group it’s in is paused. Activate the campaign group to allow campaigns to run.
Not delivering - Group budget reached The campaign can’t display impressions because the group budget has been reached. Increase the campaign group budget to allow campaigns to run.
Not delivering - Group scheduled The campaign can’t display impressions because the campaign group start date hasn’t been reached yet. The campaigns will start running once the campaign group start date is reached.
Not delivering - Account on hold Your campaign can’t display impressions until the account is no longer on hold.
