There's nothing cooler than hearing from our WISP scholars years later!!
It was 2021 when I went to my first hacker’s summer camp. I was in the midst of a career pivot. Thanks to initiatives that focused on getting women and people who have traditionally been gate kept out of information security I was able to make it to Vegas. Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) is currently inviting Individuals and companies to donate to help increase representation in cyber by getting scholarships for those who traditionally would not attend In a world where you can be anything Instead of being a gate keeper, be an ally, champion, and advocate. We already raised 10 out of the 20 scholarships we're shooting for this year for Hacker Summer Camp in 3 hours! Let's see if we can raise the rest of the donations needed to cover the whole scholarship in 1 day! Individuals and companies can donate here: https://lnkd.in/guC_xUcr Send 1 scholar to DEF CON, BlackHat, etc with a $1k donation for a covered passes, travel stipend, and support team on the ground.
Who wants to increase representation at DEF CON and Black Hat this year with Women in Security and Privacy (WISP)'s scholarship! Each $1,000 donation sends 1 scholar to Hacker Summer Camp w/ a free pass, travel stipend, & team to support on the ground! Match my $500 donation (we're currently at 2 full scholarships funded as of right now) to help us send at least 20 scholars to Hacker Summer Camp this year to meet their next boss and learn new hands on skills. Match my donation here: https://lnkd.in/gm-yut9a If you want to apply to be a scholar, please do so here by 6/7: https://lnkd.in/gcz3vtpa
