From respiratory distress to a tracheostomy and chest tube, every hurdle seemed daunting. But in the midst of it all, Jody found his beacon of hope at Vibra Hospital of Houston. Supported by a dedicated team and surrounded by the love of his mother and daughter, he tackled each obstacle head-on. With specialized care and unwavering determination, Jody defied expectations. From struggling to walk to regaining his strength, his progress was remarkable. And now, as he bids farewell to Vibra, he leaves behind a legacy of resilience and gratitude. In the words of his mother, Barbara: "The care and compassion here are beyond words. Thank you to everyone who played a part in Jody's journey!" But the story doesn't end here. 🎉 Celebrating Patient Success: Paula Montana 🎉 After two unexpected falls left her with cognitive struggles and unable to walk, Paula found hope and healing at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. Through determination and the support of an incredible team, Paula reclaimed her independence step by step, mastering daily tasks and learning to walk with the help of a walker. Now, Paula's back where she belongs – home with her four beloved canine companions. But her journey isn't over yet! With the ongoing support of SJVRH's outpatient therapy program, she's continuing to push boundaries and reach new milestones. “To those considering acute rehabilitation, if they have a bed, jump on it!” Paula said. “I feel like I owe so much to everyone here. I just had the best therapists, and the nurses are excellent!” Let Paula's story inspire you to never give up, no matter the obstacles! 🌟

Just remember F-A-S-T. 🧠 Face: Does the person's face droop or feel numb on one side? 🧠 Arms: Does the person feel numbness or weakness in one arm? 🧠 Speech: Is the person making sense when they speak?
