Congratulations to the teams at Warith International Cancer Institute who recently gave their treatment facilities a major upgrade with the addition of several new TrueBeam and Halcyon radiotherapy systems. With several liner accelerators having the optional HyperArc high-definition radiosurgery solution, the team will be especially well prepared to deliver stereotactic radiosurgery for their patients. Further additions of optional HyperSight imaging solutions will allow the teams to produce images that deliver the Hounsfield Unit accuracy necessary for treatment planning directly on the acquired CBCT images. These additions are poised to bring new access to advanced radiotherapy treatment options to patients in and around Basra and Kerbala, Iraq. We are proud to be your collaborators in this endeavor to improve patient outcomes, and together, we can build a world without fear of cancer.

Time and again, radiation therapy experts from around the world have shared how their departments are advancing radiotherapy by integrating MRI into their daily clinical routines. You can discover these insights and more during the Siemens Healthineers, MRInsights in RT Virtual User Meeting on June 19, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm CEST. For clinical teams working to implement personalized comprehensive care in a multi-disciplinary cancer care setting, disparate systems and siloed workflows can be leading barriers that prevent efficient sharing of patient data. “We are working closely with clinical teams to understand the daily challenges in accessing comprehensive patient information and are developing innovative software solutions that combine advanced technologies with specialized services and clinical expertise,” says Ashley Smith, President, Multi-Disciplinary Oncology for Varian. “These tools are designed to enable care teams to spend more time on what matters most: providing the best possible care for each patient.” Learn more at https://bit.ly/4bEneEm

Hypofractionation - when it is indicated - can have significant benefits for both patients and care providers. However, adoption and subsequently access-to-care in areas such as the Asia-Pacific region has not been widespread. In this article, we explore the barriers to adoption for hypofractionation and what they mean for the region. https://bit.ly/3wJEmJM
