“Prior authorization is overused, and existing processes present significant administrative and clinical concerns.” The @American Medical Association continues to lobby for state and federal regulations that ease the burden of current prior auth processes among healthcare organizations. They are urging physicians to advocate for change within their own state legislatures by utilizing an AMA model bill. At Valer, we support the AMA in their efforts to #FixPriorAuths. For more information about how you can get involved as well as how AMA is moving the needle towards prior auth reform, follow this link: https://hubs.la/Q02vlvDM0.
