Speaking at BuiltWorlds event in NYC about the work Heartland Industries is doing to reduce embodied carbon and operational carbon. This event was like drinking out of a firehose for me. I learned so much about construction tech and prop tech over the 2 days. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget! Thank you Cameron Mabley for getting me on stage last minute!

Decarbonization, artificial intelligence, emerging preconstruction, building, and construction technologies, the future of connected cities, leveraging advanced materials to achieve Net Zero—these topics and so many more defined our content for the second and final day of our 2024 Buildings Conference. We asked our diverse group of experts to deliver, and they did just that. The conversations have been valuable. The panels and presentations have been insightful. And the connections we're making (and hope you are too) feel like the seeds and beginnings of future, fruitful collaborations. Also, big shout out to Jesse Henry and Heartland Industries, who, despite being a late entry, manage to wow our judges and come away with a Demo Night competition. For those who don't know, Heartland is a material science company that functionalizes natural fibers to reinforce plastic, helping manufacturers achieve their sustainability goals. Such a great day. Can't wait for our Paris Summit in June and our Construction Tech Conference, happening in Chicago in July. Paris Summit: https://lnkd.in/gx7Ux2k2 Construction Tech: https://lnkd.in/gWjajxKV

There are two big things going on here. 1. That's Michael Heinz Chairman and CEO of BASF North America, and 2. He's holding a copy our our new book - Industry 5.0 at this year's NPE: The Plastics Show! Michael did a fantastic keynote presentation on how BASF is embracing sustainability all up and down their supply chains, and he's well aware of the position we take on the issue of improving new materials at Heartland. Michael, I hope you enjoy the book and a huge shout out to Susan Jackson, MBA for making the introduction and getting our work in front of Michael!
