Professionals, as well as home chefs create comforting meals with our irresistible products. Our restaurant-quality noodles and noodle kits can be found at your favorite local restaurant, supermarkets, natural and specialty stores, and Asian markets nationwide. Sun Noodle operates factories in Hawai`i, California, New Jersey, and the Netherlands to bring passion, joy, and the aloha spirit to noodle lovers everywhere. 🍜 Do you keep hiring all in the family in a family-led business? We asked third-generation artisanal noodle maker Kenshiro Uki of Sun Noodle to share how he approaches team building and leadership. Here are a few highlights from the five questions we asked him: 💭 How do you approach hiring talent from outside the family? "Looking for talent outside the family is a must as we strive to build an organization filled with great talent who can help us achieve things we can only dream of." 💭 How would you describe your leadership style? "Demanding? Haha. Demanding but fair… with a lot of trust in our team. I have an ambitious vision for Sun Noodle." 💭 As a leader, how do you foster team culture? "It's been a lot of trial and error for me. Our company has been growing rapidly over these years so each stage has challenged me to adapt depending on where we are in our growth. When we were smaller and all in the same room, we did a lot of weekly meals and the unofficial conversations naturally led to information sharing which kept us all aligned." 💭 If you could trade places with any other founder for a day, who would it be and why? Just back from a visit to Texas, where I had the pleasure of meeting some key accounts who are doing amazing things with ramen and integrating it into their culture. It's great to see #craftramen coming to life! Austin 🤯 blew me away with its creativity and deliciousness when it comes to crafting a bowl of 🍜. It's exciting to see how the city is pushing the boundaries of what's possible with this beloved dish. I also got to see firsthand how 7-Eleven, the largest convenience store in 🇺🇸, is making it even more convenient for consumers to enjoy quality ramen throughout their test stores in Texas. And did I mention the pineapple aguas frescas? I discovered this delicious drink for the first time and I'm hooked! Anyone have a recipe to share so I can make it at home? Or is there a ready-to-drink brand that makes one of quality? My goodness, I could drink this all day! 🧉🍍 Will be back in April to celebrate more wins in Texas and a partnership event with Asia Society Texas Center!
