We aren’t only revitalizing The Galleria, one of the nation’s largest shopping centers, we are also taking our luxury brands to new heights – literally expanding to the 2nd level. The transformation will begin this summer and is expected to be complete by early 2025 with interior and exterior enhancements and new retail boutiques. Many luxury brands have already expanded and enhanced their offerings to meet the consumer demand in the past 5 years. Gucci, which is currently expanding to a two-story concept; Louis Vuitton; FENDI and Saint Laurent doubled their footprints, and their renovated boutiques showcase new design prototypes in their respective retail spaces. With more than 70 market-exclusive brands, additional high-end retailers will make The Galleria home. Etro and Frette will join this iconic shopping and tourist destination soon.     As reported in yesterday's WWD, Simon is making a significant reinvestment at Fashion Valley, to further redevelop the San Diego center into a mixed-use luxury destination. Fashion Valley will soon transform into a community unto itself with 850 multi-family luxury residences by AMLI Residential, a leader in luxury apartment living. Together, Simon and AMLI will deliver a vibrant, diverse and exclusive residential enclave featuring incomparable amenities and high-end finishes. This next phase in development is expected begin at the end of 2025 and is anticipated to be completed late 2026. Renowned for its curated collection of designer brands, Fashion Valley is welcoming three new, first-to-market luxury boutiques to its impressive lineup of luxury retailers. Coveted Italian and French fashion houses Christian Louboutin, Fendi and Celine will open their only San Diego locations at the center in the coming months.     As reported in Women’s Wear Daily yesterday, the world-renowned Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is further elevating the shopping experience. A stunning new VIP Suite will be unveiled later this year. The elegant enclave will feature multiple private spaces with dressing rooms and an upscale lounge area where guests can explore the latest fashions from luxury brands in privacy and comfort. New retail offerings include David Yurman, Roberto Cavalli, Maison Margiela, Ladurée, BOGNER, Sferra, Bollicine Champagne Bar, Jil Sander, Eleventy, and Reformation among others. In addition, Arc'teryx, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs and Golden Goose are all expanding their footprint at the center this year. These additions and expansions join 250 of the world’s most sought-after fashion brands, which continue to exceed expectations at Woodbury Common with Q4 2023 sales surpassing $375 million. A multi-year redevelopment to expand Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is advancing through the permits and entitlements process, and approvals are underway. The several hundred-million-dollar project will add 155,000 square feet of retail stores and restaurants, a 200-key luxury hotel, a second parking facility, and upgraded customer amenities.     Exciting Future Unfolding at Southdale Center! America's first mall is undergoing a revolutionary transformation. As reported in the Wall Street Journal over the weekend, Simon is turning Southdale Center in suburban Minneapolis into the epitome of the “mall of the future”. Over the last decade, Simon has been reshaping Southdale, introducing a diverse array of amenities beyond traditional shopping. Luxury apartments, a hotel, a Life Time resort-style fitness club and modern co-working space and RH Gallery & Restaurant are just the beginning. Building on the progressive, upscale transformation, the first group of luxury retailers was revealed and includes four high-profile newcomers to the Minneapolis/St. Paul market – Gucci, one of the world’s leading luxury brands; Moncler, a brand focused on new luxury with its origins in sports clothing; Max Mara, the forerunner of modern ready-to-wear women’s clothing; and globally renowned watchmaker Breitling.
