Building AI to optimize user acquisition at scale.

Marketers: If you’re only using surface-level data to look at day-to-day metrics, you’ll be lightyears behind your tech-forward peers by 2025. And you can't afford to lose your edge in this market. Every tool in your stack has some form of reporting, but that data is likely isolated to just your performance with that tool. Recent AI advances are changing that. New data intelligence tech can connect the dots across software + even analyze metrics from other brands in your category to help you make better business decisions. Want to make data your superpower? Look for data intelligence platforms that can deliver in these 4 ways: 1// Deep Customer Insights According to McKinsey: - 71% of consumers expect companies to deliver personalized interactions - 76% get frustrated when this doesn't happen Look for tech that can tell you: - Who your customers are - What stores they shop at - Which influencers they follow - The social platforms they prefer This info will give you the power to build data-driven personalized pathways and better allocate your paid media budget. 2// Customer Acquisition Optimization CAC is 50% higher than it was before iOS 14, impacting brands of all sizes. Good CAC analysis can help you understand: - The ROI of every marketing dollar - Which channels are working best You *need* this info to allocate your resources most effectively. Consider tech that uses aggregated data & predictive models to: - Help you find *the right* new customers at the right time - Target new customers with ads more precisely - Reduce wasted spend 3// Expanded Customer Lifetime Value It’s ~5x more expensive to acquire a new customer than retain an existing one. Increase retention by using AI-driven tech to better understand your customers' spending behaviors and preferences. Then use that data to identify: - Who your best customers are - Key drivers around growth and retention - Which offers are driving repeat purchases 4// Competitive Differentiation It’s no secret that competition is stiff, making it harder and harder to stand out. Without insights into how your business stacks up against your competitors, you can't truly measure your marketing performance. Look for technology that provides: - *Tactical* benchmark data (not just industry performance metrics, but data that can show you what the high performers in your category are doing and how you can level up) - Actionable insights that help you improve the health of your business Then, use that data to make informed decisions around high-impact campaign optimizations. Scaling profitably has never been harder. To break through and become a valuable business at scale, invest in tools that: ✔ Lower CAC ✔ Improve LTV ✔ Offer deep customer insights ✔ Show you your performance vs. peers What AI tools are you seeing value from right now? Building AI to optimize user acquisition at scale.

We cut CAC by 50% for a $20B publicly traded mobile apps client. Not bad considering we just started expanding into mobile this year. Here's the story ⤵ A veteran media buyer who manages 10s of millions of dollars for mobile companies every month saw one of Proxima’s Facebook ads highlighting the 31% ROAS boost we give DTC brands. His wife runs a Shopify store for bridal goods. So he tested our self-serve AI Audiences on her Meta account…and it worked. Really really well. And he thought: "Oh man – could this work for mobile?" So he reached out to me on LinkedIn. Confession time: I didn't take the first call. We were in the middle of our Series A fundraise. Every second of my time was devoted to that. So he met with my team, who then told me: - This guy is an industry leader who built and sold his own mobile audiences business - This is an incredible opportunity to open new markets - You *have* to meet with him So we jumped on a call and started working together… And within 30 days, he connected us with our highest-paying client ever (think the Nike of mobile apps). The results: - We reduced their CAC by 50% - We're the top-performing campaign on $4M of spend in their ad account by a margin of 50% And that's only in our first 60 days working together. So, consider this me putting Proxima's mobile flag in the sand. We've been grinding it out with DTC brands for years – Now we’re ready to hit the ground running in a new channel. You know the adage: Luck is when opportunity meets preparation. Well, I feel lucky that: - The right person saw our ad and gave our audiences a try - My team recognizes an awesome opportunity when they see it - We've built a platform that can serve DTC brands *and* mobile clients on such a high level We're expecting mobile to soon be half of new clients onboarded in the next 6 months. So if you're in mobile apps or games and 50% lower CAC sounds good to you… We offer a free trial – I'll provide a link in the comments. DM me 💪

Hyped to share our newest case study at Proxima featuring The Noli Shop 🔥 When they hit a performance plateau on Meta, The Noli Shop team came to us looking for a better way to scale their ads efficiently. The results did not disappoint: - 59% increase in ROAS - 37% reduction in CAC - 26% increase in incremental spend Here’s what happened: As a high-growth digitally native fashion label, The Noli Shop relies heavily on paid media to drive awareness, site traffic, and sales. But they began to see diminishing returns from Meta’s Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns (ASC) and broad targeting. It’s a common occurrence for media buyers – they move winning ads into a scaling campaign but soon encounter a spend ceiling and efficiency nosedives. The Noli Shop team was also reliant on constantly testing new creatives to steer the Meta algo in the right direction, which was time-consuming and expensive. That’s where Proxima comes in. After deploying Proxima’s AI Audiences, The Noli Shop was able to unlock new (and profitable) audience pools that Meta’s algorithm wouldn’t have gone after. Our team also provided automatic audience refreshes and campaign optimizations on the fly, which reduced the volume of creative iteration they previously needed while improving ad efficiency. As a result, they improved incremental reach, reduced their reliance on Meta’s black box algorithm, and scaled ad spend with unparalleled efficiency. But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what The Noli Shop Co-Founder & CEO Slava F. had to say: “Our team regularly hit a plateau on ASC where increasing spend resulted in diminishing returns. Proxima has been instrumental in helping us diversify into far more profitable audiences on Meta. The Proxima team has been incredibly helpful and responsive since day one of our partnership. It's impressive how quickly their AI Audiences have become a core pillar of our Meta ads strategy.” I'll link the full case study in the comments. And if you want to see results and ROI like The Noli Shop, drop me a DM – always down to chat 🫡 PS – We’re offering a free 30-day trial here 👉 https://www.proxima.ai/

    CMO and Co-Founder at Obvi

We've been running our Proxima audiences against our broad audiences for quite a while now. Initially, they were pretty much neck and neck - some days seeing a 50/50 spend split and others with Proxima taking the lead. Obviously, there comes a time when these lookalikes have a limit to how far they can go Broad audiences can edge ahead with their level of reach But before you say “jUsT Go BrOaD” Shhh. Open your mind. We decided to hit up Proxima and see what they could really do They’ve always been hands-on and available on the fly. What they ended up doing was INSTEAD of creating new audiences that we’d need to drop into a campaign, they refreshed our existing audiences that we’ve been running by updating the underlying seed that powers the lookalikes. Their algorithm looks at billions of real-time commerce data points, but to put it simply they basically refreshed the seed with new shoppers who fit into that same audience category. For example: There’s this customer (we’ll call him Archie Winesett) Archie hasn’t been a health and wellness (or collagen) shopper over the past year, but in the last 30 days Proxima saw that he purchased from 2 other health and wellness brands on Shopify Because of this data, Proxima knows that Archie is a LOT more likely to purchase something from Obvi So when they refresh the underlying seed audience - our boy Archie is right in the mix. This kind of strategy ensures 2 things: 1 - These refreshed audiences are very high quality and built with a ton of real-time customer data 2 - They’ll be much more efficient and can scale profitably Yes I’m a #proudpartner but let’s be real - this level of strategy & service Proxima delivers is a gold mine. If you’re looking for new ways to refresh your audiences and scale profitably - this is it.

Building AI to optimize user acquisition at scale.

One of the best parts about building Proxima over the past two years is developing strong relationships with our partners 🤝 Learning from our customers and getting their feedback is integral to improving our product. It's a win-win virtuous cycle. A real-world example of this: When we first got on a call with Ashvin Melwani, Co-Founder & CMO at Obvi, he was skeptical. We don't blame him. Creative is king, after all, and we were proposing a radical alternative to "best-in-class" paid media strategies. But, like all good marketers, Ash was open to an A/B test. Fast forward to today, Proxima's AI Audiences fuel 60%+ of Obvi's Meta ad spend. It's tempting to just go broad or toss your entire budget into ASC. But, relying wholly on Meta's in-platform targeting and constantly testing new creatives is expensive, time-consuming, and won't work for everyone. But don't just take our word for it. Here's what Ash had to say about using our audiences 👇 PS - we're offering a free 30-day trial if you'd like to give it a test drive.

Building AI to optimize user acquisition at scale.

One of the big mistakes I made as a founder last year: Getting so excited about building sexy AI tech I almost lost track of what our customers really want. 2023 was an exciting time in AI. Tools like ChatGPT and Dall-E hit the mainstream. Every major tech company was adding AI assistants and chatbots. Add in the fact that Proxima was heading into our Series A fundraise… I'll admit it, I got swept away. Started dreaming about aspirational tools with: → Longer execution timelines → More perceived value for our customers → Bigger potential payouts on our end We have a vision for a revolutionary AI-powered marketing solution. (That's all I'm saying – I don't want to give the idea away 😉) But I got so excited, I missed the major flaw in my plan: What DTC operators want today is *way* simpler. I was so focused on building something massively ambitious… That I forgot our real North Star: Following the customer signal. I'm not the first founder sidetracked by an exciting new idea. And I need to shout out my incredible team for getting me on track again. When I was talking about boundary-pushing tech… they were pushing back: "I hear you. But *this* is what our customers are actually telling us they need now and will pay for." Their honesty – and, I'll be real here, their occasional frustration with me – Brought me back down to earth. And reminded me why I started this business: To help founders build thriving businesses and avoid the pain of shutting down something they've poured their hearts and souls into. The best way we've found to achieve that (so far)? Using AI lookalike audiences. Proxima, as it is, is an AI platform that leverages lookalike audiences to help consumer brands: - Boost ROAS by 31% vs. in-platform targeting - Lower CAC by 26% vs. in-platform targeting - Unlock 2-3x more ad spend - Scale efficiently + profitably It addresses the major pain points that DTC operators are facing in 2024. It drives better performance so their brands can make it to 2025. Don't get me wrong – Proxima is innovating aggressively. You'll see that AI-powered software solution materialize in a big way in the near future. But today, I'm staying focused on why we're here: To provide a deeply needed service. One that can make a difference now. Thanks again to my team – I truly couldn't do this without you guys.
