How did you become the Head of Payroll Sales @ Personio? That’s exactly what we asked Victoria, who joined Personio early on in 2017 as an Account Executive and is now building and leading our Payroll Sales org. Check out her inspiring career journey: 🐶 As a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian, because I loved animals and helping people. 📚 I studied international Sales and Marketing Management in Denmark. I liked that my degree was in smaller classrooms and hands-on with companies. It ended up being a practical choice of degree based on where I ended up! 📞 Moved to Munich and started my Sales career in a key account role. Mostly upselling and cross-selling to existing enterprise customers. Later I worked for an American company in a full sales cycle role, hitting 250 cold calls a week. It was hardcore but I learned a lot! 🚀 Joined Personio and have been here for 7,5 years. From AE > Team Lead > Head of Sales DACH > Head of Payroll Sales. 💡 Through all of this, I’ve learned ownership, accountability, entrepreneurial mindset, and resilience – all key skills every salesperson needs. If you don’t embrace change, Sales probably isn’t the right fit. And while Victoria did not end up as a veterinarian, she is now helping people and their businesses everyday by digitising and automating their HR processes. Sales can take you anywhere!
