Every quarter, the Perry Weather team gets together to recognize the individuals who have outstanding commitment and exemplifies the company values through the "Perry Weather Values", the "Kick the Tires", and the "Climb the Ladder" Awards. Here are our winners for this quarter!⬇️ The "Kick the Tires" award is given to a sales team member who demonstrated commitment to all Perry Weather values while selling PW products and services to people who needed them most, and also provided support to his/her colleagues wherever needed on the team. This individual not only met her quota for this quarter, but was the TOP salesperson on the team. 😲 And the winner of this quarter is..... Delanie O'Connell, who has now gone BACK TO BACK quarters with being the recipient of the "Kick the Tires" award! Congratulations Delanie! 🎉 The "Climb the Ladder" award is given to the individual who goes above and beyond to find solutions to unconventional problems on the hardware team. Day and night, this person makes sure that all Perry Weather hardware operations are running smoothly, and on occasion, putting out fires so that others can rest easy. And the winner of this quarter is......... Tim Bliven ! Thank you for all that you do. 🎊 And finally, the winner of the Perry Weather Values award! This winner of this award was peer selected, meaning that EVERYBODY at Perry Weather believed that this individual best represented the 4 values at Perry Weather, which are: - Being a Clever Thinker - Being a Grinder - Being Adaptable - Being Humbly Confident And this quarter, the Perry Weather Values Award goes to..... Bonnie Johnson! Bonnie has an uncompromising positive attitude, goes above and beyond to help her team around her, and is the definitive example of why Perry Weather can deliver a consistent experience for our customers. Without her, Perry Weather would not be the uplifting and amazing company it is today. Congratulations! 🥳

Wet Bulb Globe Temperature IS the future of measuring heat stress. The California Interscholastic Federation just made it official when they mandated schools to use it starting July 1st. But to people unfamiliar with the concept, it can seem really nuanced and complicated. But it doesn't have to be.👇 • The United States, geographically speaking, is big. Like, REALLY big. So big in fact, that many regions have their own specific varying degrees of heat intensity. • Because of the varying degrees of heat intensity, people in different regions experience heat stress at different thresholds. • We call this Heat Acclimatization. It’s basically the individual’s ability to adapt to hot environments. • For example, an athlete in San Diego will acclimatize faster than their counterparts in San Francisco because they live in an area that has higher temperatures on a day to day basis. • As a result, activity modifications for athletes in the Category 1 Zone (San Francisco) might be recommended at a WBGT of 82°F, compared to athletes in a Category 3 Zone (San Diego), which would recommend activity modifications at 85°F instead. • It’s a small difference in degrees, but has a huge impact on the athlete’s body on its ability to cool itself down. • The nice thing is that the Perry Weather software AND hardware automatically considers the zone your athletes practice and compete in, and will adjust your WBGT policies and notifications to the recommended WBGT threshold!
