The University Interscholastic League, or the UIL, has just announced new recommendations regarding heat stress policies for Texas schools.
If you follow our blog or social media in any capacity, you’ve probably heard us yapping about the California Interscholastic Federation, which has recently introduced new heat stress policies. These policies are centered around a crucial factor - wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT), a term we believe every athletic director or coach should be familiar with.
The CIF and UIL have similar recommendations, so if you’re familiar with the CIF’s version, these changes will not surprise you.
