Great insight from our African Network Members.
📲🌍 "Digital literacy, not just access, is Africa’s biggest problem" Members of #AnglophoneAfricaHub at the #OpenKnowledgeNetwork are part of the 10th conversation of the #OKFN100 project. 👉🏾 https://lnkd.in/ewW6Y2dA Since 2023, we are meeting with more than 100 people to discuss the future of #openknowledge, shaped by a diverse set of visions from artists, activists, scholars, archivists, thinkers, policymakers, data scientists, educators, and community leaders from everywhere. This time we did something different, a collective conversation with Maxwell Beganim, Oluseun Onigbinde, Justine Msechu, and Romeo Ronald Lomora about the current context, opportunities and challenges for open knowledge in Africa. We spoke about #access, #digitalliteracy, #funding, the role of #governments, the importance of #communities, and, of course, how to advocate for #openness in the current scenario. We hope this piece of content can facilitate regional integration and find common points of collaboration for shared work within the Network. Stay tuned for similar conversations covering other parts of the globe in the next few weeks! #BetterTogetherThanAlone
