🎉 Η ομάδα του Open Knowledge Foundation Greece συμμετείχε την Πέμπτη 23/5 στην “1η Ημερίδα Μηχανικών ΔΙΠΑΕ” που διοργανώθηκε από την Κοσμητεία και τα Τμήματα της Σχολής Μηχανικών του International Hellenic University. 🎚 Η παρούσα δράση είχε ως βασικό στόχο την προώθηση της εξωστρέφειας και την ενδυνάμωση των σχέσεων μεταξύ των εμπλεκομένων σε ένα πλαίσιο συνεργασίας, καθώς αποτελεί μια ευκαιρία για ανταλλαγή ιδεών, αμοιβαία έμπνευση και την ανάπτυξη σχέσεων μεταξύ των φοιτητικών ομάδων και των υποψηφίων διδακτόρων. 📢 Στην εκδήλωση παρουσίασαν τις δράσεις και το πρόγραμμα μας, η νεοσύστατη ομάδα φοιτητών του Open Knowledge Foundation, υπό την αιγίδα του Open Knowledge Foundation Greece και του Επίκουρου Καθηγητή του Τμήμα Μηχανικών Πληροφορικής και Ηλεκτρονικών Συστημάτων / ΔΙ.ΠΑ.Ε, Charalampos Bratsas. 🇧🇷 💪🏾 We are so glad to be part of #CodaAmazônia this year, the Latin America's leading data journalism conference, organised by Open Knowledge Brasil and Escola de Dados! The panel "New frontiers for digital rights" will feature Eliana Quiroz, a researcher and activist who published the first book on the internet and society in Bolivia. She is Business Development Manager at Hivos-LATAM in the area of Civil Rights in the Digital Age and was previously Head of e-Government at the Ministry of the Presidency of Bolivia. The launch of the Open Data Index for Cities 2023 will be attended by Renata Avila, head of the Open Knowledge Foundation (OKFN). An international human rights and technology lawyer, she is part of the Centre for Internet and Society at France's National Centre for Scientific Research. The uneven distribution of AI’s benefits across societies and economies is exacerbating domestic and global inequalities. It is also posing significant challenges to the democratic governance of technology and the capacity for future innovation. To tackle this issue, the DPGA Secretariat's Lea Gimpel has worked in partnership with the Open Knowledge Foundation, Open Future Foundation,Centrum für Europäische Politik and MicroSave Consulting (MSC) to co-author a policy brief that makes recommendations for actions #G7 policymakers can take to ensure the benefits of AI's use and implementation are globally equitable.
