    Last Sunday, Neiman Marcus St. Louis teamed up with NASCAR and The Wendell Scott Foundation to host customers for an in-store event kicking off the Illinois 300 and 2024 Confluence Music Festival. Guests were greeted by several rare cars upon arrival and enjoyed a cocktail reception followed by a runway presentation featuring brand partners Balmain, Casablanca, Cult Gaia, Givenchy, Jacquemus, Simkhai, and Palm Angels.     Special guests included NASCAR’s Jorden Paige and Rajah Curuth, Warrick and Chinique Scott, The Muny President and CEO, Kwofe Coleman, and Worldwide Technologies’ Dave & Thelma Steward.    Creative partnerships and one-of-a-kind luxury experiences like these underscore our commitment to Make Life Extraordinary for our customers and brand partners.

    Over the past week, a piece of fashion history has greeted visitors at Neiman Marcus Downtown Dallas: a 1947 Lincoln Continental originally owned by Elsa Schiaparelli, founder of Maison Schiaparelli. For over 20 years, the navy-blue beauty, now known as “Elsa,” was a beloved part of the fashion icon’s life and legacy in Paris.    Neiman Marcus associates dreamt up this idea and collaborated with Planet Lincoln Dallas Lovefield to bring this one-of-a-kind luxury experience to our customers. In celebration of the car’s arrival, Neiman Marcus Personal Stylists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area established a ‘Schiaparelli Week,’ in which clients are invited to enjoy the exclusive 'Elsa' exhibition and explore the avant-garde brilliance of the Spring/Summer 2024 collection.    Neiman Marcus is proud to have a longstanding partnership with Schiaparelli—first cemented in 1940, when Elsa Schiaparelli was recognized with a Neiman Marcus Award by Stanley Marcus. Her legacy lives on today with Daniel Roseberry, Creative Director of Schiaparelli, who received the 2024 Neiman Marcus Award for Creative Impact in the Field of Fashion.    The historic car is on display in the iconic Palladian Window through Thursday, June 6th. Head to Neiman Marcus Downtown Dallas today or tomorrow to witness the ‘Elsa Experience’ in person.

    Today we announced that Cheryl Han will take on an expanded role as Chief Digital Officer & SVP, Customer Strategy, NMG. Building on her responsibilities at Bergdorf’s, she will be responsible for delivering improved value for Neiman Marcus by amplifying digital capabilities and optimizing performance marketing. Cheryl will oversee certain strategic customer functions for the group, including CRM and Loyalty, and serve as a member of the Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and NMG leadership teams with continued strategic focus on the NMG customer algorithm.   In addition, Stefanie Tsen Ward will take on an expanded role as Chief Integrated Retail and Customer Officer, NM. With additional leadership responsibility for developing and driving the NM customer strategy, Stefanie will drive customer-led, strategic decision-making throughout Neiman Marcus to unlock the full potential of our customer algorithm.   Congratulations to Cheryl & Stefanie!

    This May, we’ve celebrated Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, a time to recognize and appreciate the range of perspectives and experiences within the AANHPI community. Throughout the month, we’ve connected with some of our AANHPI associates to amplify their voices and understand what this month means to them. For our second spotlight of AANHPI Heritage Month, we heard from Stefanie Tsen Ward, Nabil Aliffi, and Katie Reynolds, who shared their thoughts on the importance of this month and celebrating their heritage.

    Last Sunday, a team of Bergdorf Goodman associates assembled in Central Park for the 39th annual AIDS Walk New York, the world’s largest single-day fundraising event for HIV/AIDS. Captained by Men’s Store Director, Dan Dean, Team BG came together to raise over $25,000—beating their 2023 record of $16,000! Funds raised will benefit GMHC, the nation’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, prevention services, and advocacy. Events like these exemplify our associates’ commitment to Leading with Love and giving back to our communities and one another.

    NMG is committed to empowering the next generation and influencing positive change in our industry. As the academic year draws to a close, our Chief Communications Officer, Tiffin Jernstedt, and the NMG Communications team recently hosted a virtual networking event tailored to students ranging from high school to master program-level in college. Joining as special guests were our Director of Talent Acquisition, Carolyn Attar, and Director of Strategy & Analytics, Jonathan Hall, who shared their HR expertise.     The session was an engaging forum for discussing the industry's current landscape, exploring job market trends, and providing invaluable advice for graduating students. Our teams shared numerous key insights with over 40 soon-to-be graduates from 10+ colleges, including our Fashion Scholarship Fund x NMG Scholars, offering them valuable perspectives as they embark on their professional journey.
