Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights leader who, among many other achievements, was the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 at 35 years old. He is regarded as one of the greatest nonviolent leaders in history, whose teachings remain relevant to the progress of humankind. Points of Light is an organization whose mission is to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world, and it offers several resources and opportunities to honor Dr. King Jr. through service and dialogue.
