Joe Coyle, lead in Montauk’s Special Projects, visits the Cummins engine plant in Jamestown New York where they are manufacturing the much lauded natural gas powered X15 engine which is expected to hit the market late 2024/early 2025. The X15 is targeting the long-haul trucking business which could increase RNG dispensing capacity nationwide.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Montauk’s Wellness Committee challenged our employees to walk, bike, or run for at least a mile per day, and in return, Montauk would make a cash donation to a charity of our choice. In addition to encouraging our employees with wellness initiatives, Montauk matched employee miles with donations to the American Therapeutic Riding Center and Stop Soldier Suicide!

Representing Montauk Renewables! Our VP of Environmental, Heath & Safety, Sharon Frank and Director of Environmental Atrributes, Catherine Gillespie, attended the RNG Summit at The Woodlands Resort in Texas. A huge thank you to the RNG Coalition for organizing another great event.

Exciting news!!  EE North America has entered into a long-term agreement with Montauk Renewables, Inc., which involves the delivery of 140,000 tons of biogenic CO2 annually over a minimum duration of 15 years, with an option for extension. This CO2 is a critical component for the production of e-methanol at our upcoming facilities, an endeavor that has been further solidified by securing a 50-year lease with the Port of Victoria in Texas for a potential e-methanol production site. E-methanol has multiple applications, including as an alternative fuel in shipping, a raw material for green plastics, and as a component in heavy transport fuels. Furthermore, AMMONGAS, our carbon capture division, provides an important building block in this agreement.   Montauk will capture, clean, and liquefy CO2 at select Texas facilities using Ammongas technology. From there the CO2 will be transported via truck to the e-methanol facility.    https://lnkd.in/de3c56rG
