We're proud to share that we've been selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Phase II contract to develop next-generation radar technology central to countering the growing and evolving security threats in #space. “As the number of adversarial satellites in space dramatically increases year over year, we are committed to supporting the U.S. Department of Defense’s efforts to enhance tracking of non-cooperative launches, smaller orbital debris, and objects in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO),” says LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier. “We are dedicated to enhancing the resiliency of space architectures and strengthening deterrence to ensure U.S. national security.” LeoLabs is proud to be selected by the U.S. Department of the Air Force to lead the development of this technology. We look forward to leveraging it to expand our global sensor network and enhance our capabilities for new missions ensuring the security of space.

The threats in space are real and growing. This makes the integration of commercial capabilities to enhance the resilience of national space architectures and strengthen deterrence all the more urgent. “Space is becoming more congested and more contested. We’d love to see an equal sense of urgency in the execution of the strategy so that the warfighter can take advantage of all the capability that is online today," says LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier in Via Satellite's article on the US Department of Defense's and US Space Force's commercial integration strategies.
