Amid all the #Upfront presentations this week, KWG shifted gears to hear from industry leaders at IAB Tech Lab's “Save Money. Drive Results. Be Home By 6” conference. Content focused on IAB Tech Lab’s standards and insights that impact agencies and their brands, along with some heated debates. During the “This Ain’t Your Grandma’s Cookie” session, Chief Connectivity and Ecosystem Officer of LiveRamp, Travis Clinger said “More than 92% of online consumers are connected to an authenticated ID” and therefore, cookies are essentially already phased out. A sentiment not held by his fellow panelists, Eli Heath, Head of Identity at Lotame and Caitlin Borgman, Chief Commercial Officer of ID5 and who added her own position that authentication doesn’t always equal consented, highlighting an additional layer brands and agencies must consider with the cookieless future on the horizon. While we’ve seen alternative, better ID solutions thrive in performance and in scale, to sustain we must ensure privacy compliance, transparency, and interoperability for the long term. #kwg #communicationsagency #measurablydeeperconnections
