According to WebMD, 85% of men will experience some sort of #hairloss in their lifetime. There has been an increase in men wearing what we call “weaves” in the black community. Unleashing the Magic of Beauty: My Cosmoprof North America Journey! I vividly remember my first major tradeshow in Las Vegas, fresh out of undergrad and working for a print media company. The sheer scale of the convention hall, the explosion of creativity, and the electric energy left me awestruck. Fast forward to building my beauty brand Kreyol Essence, LLC. ; we couldn't afford CosmoProf initially, but I knew its value. Bootstrapping required careful decisions, but yvecar and I pushed through many scary moments, learned lessons, listened to mentors and continued to grow. Last summer, I recommitted myself to exploring to the beauty world - 9 years in the trenches I needed that reminder - find my why again and I attended to CosmoProf in Vegas for the first time. The feeling of wonder returned, surrounded by innovation, leading vendors, and fellow founders. I reconnected with friends and colleagues who guided me in the industry. When I heard about the Miami show, I knew I had to bring my team to experience the magic. As a leader, I felt it was my duty to share the wonders of a tradeshow, the joy of creation, and the tools to build dreams in the beauty world.
