New research is further demonstrating the link between depression and progression of kidney disease. A value-based approach to depression screening and treatment is critical to improving patient outcomes. In a review of 1,561 of our patients identified with signs of moderate to severe depressive symptoms, more than 71% improved to mild or no symptoms during a subsequent screening.   During #mentalhealthawareness month, read more about how annual screenings, which enable proper follow-up and treatment, can improve overall wellbeing, slow disease progression, reduce hospitalizations, and lower the total cost of care. https://lnkd.in/gjQMgczb
