Realistic and relevant phishing simulations are an important part of any effective training program. These targeted phishing simulations allow employees to gain firsthand experience of how phishing attacks work, learn the latest tricks cybercriminals are using, and help employees develop the skills and knowledge they need to identify and deal with these threats effectively. #PhishingSimulation #SecurityAwarenessTraining #PsySec

Brand spoofing is when a criminal pretends to be from a company or organization you trust, and they use this brand recognition to trick you into giving up your sensitive information. Like the example below, scammers have meticulously spoofed Chick-fil-A, a brand many trust and enjoy. They announce a tempting, limited-time drink offer, luring you with the excitement of trying something new. However, the catch lies in the prompt asking you to click on a link to claim your new drink. This is where the danger hides. Such links can lead to phishing sites designed to steal your information. Always approach such offers with caution, double-check the sender's details, and remember that genuine companies, like Chick-fil-A, will not request personal information through email! Let's stay aware, out there! #Phishing #SecurityAwarenessTraining

Security awareness training has come a long way in recent years, but there is still room for improvement. One area that deserves more attention is employee engagement and culture. All too often, security awareness training is seen as a necessary evil, something that employees have to endure but don't necessarily see the value in. This needs to change! Instead of treating security awareness training as a compliance checkbox, organizations need to realize that employee engagement is key to reducing risk. When employees are fully invested in their company's security program, they are more likely to identify and report potential threats, follow best practices, and take responsibility for their own cybersecurity. By making employees feel valued and appreciated, they will be more likely to buy into the program and do their part to reduce risk. In the end, this will lead to a more secure organization overall. #PsySec #Securityawarenesstraining
