Yesterday, our teams put their skills to the test to celebrate World Table Tennis Day in the office. Whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up a racket for the first time, there’s no better time to experience the thrill of table tennis and celebrate the joy of playing for fun and bringing people together. To further celebrate the sport, we’ve organised a table tennis tournament for the second year in a row, for everyone to be able to join and play a fun game of table tennis. April 6 marks The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. H&M Move’s Diana Amini who leads our community program Move Together had the honor to co-author this piece with David Evangelista to recognize the important role of Special Olympics. Through inclusive sports, individuals come together, create collective energy to push boundaries and challenge stereotypes and stigma. Through our partnership with Women Win we’ll support their ONSIDE Fund focusing on seven hyperlocal organisations. They all share a common goal and use football as a main tool to drive positive change, together with for example developing leadership skills, building self-confidence, and providing psychosocial support and health educations.   “Solving gender equity is no small feat, but we believe in a future where every girl and woman can exercise their rights. For Women Win and the ONSIDE Fund, collaboration is our main vehicle to create change. By teaming up with H&M Move we can further strengthen the playing field for girls and break down traditional gender stereotypes associated with sports” says Nicole Matuska, GRLS director at Women Win. Today, we’re proud to share that we’re partnering with the non-profit organisation Women Win to promote girls' and women’s empowerment through sport, with a special focus on football! Our community program Move Together supports young people by helping them to overcome barriers and find a sense of belonging where they can thrive and move together. The seven local organisations involved in this partnership are based in Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Jordan, Mexico, South Africa, and UK. Nadia Nadim, professional football player and Brand Mover for H&M Move shares the important role football has played in her life: “I started playing football in a refugee camp in Denmark. Once on the field I felt happy, I felt free, powerful, confident and I felt accepted. I’m happy to be part of this collaboration and I truly hope that my drive can inspire young girls to chase their own dreams – wherever they live and however they move”. #HMmove #MoveTogetherHoweverYouMove

Every week we clock out to work out and enjoy moving together as a team! Last week, we participated in a challenging circuit training with the lovely team at SATS. Well done #HMmove team! We look forward to more workouts together to continue strengthening our team spirit and collaboration.
