For this opening reception, we'll celebrate National Poetry Month with poets Lee Herrick, Kim Shuck, Ayodele Nzinga, and Michelle Lin. About 𝘽𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙖 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢: Featuring a week-long program with an exhibition, workshop, and artist talks, this series explores the unseen historical forces that shape our culture and personal identity. Centering experiences of Chinese Indonesian exclusion, the exhibition takes the form of erasure poems based on actual laws from this dark chapter of history, presented as physical works that trigger augmented reality experiences.
