Congrats to our client Royalty Pharma (Nasdaq: RPRX) on two recent transactions: its royalty acquisition agreement with Agios Pharmaceuticals and its strategic collaboration with Cytokinetics (Nasdaq: CYTK)! Royalty Pharma acquired Agios’ royalty on Servier’s vorasidenib, an oral, selective, highly brain-penetrant dual inhibitor of mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and 2 (IDH1/2) enzymes for the treatment of IDH-mutant diffuse glioma, a progressive and incurable brain tumor. Royalty Pharma also entered into an agreement with Cytokinetics that will support the commercial launch of the small molecule therapeutic aficamten for treating hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, advance Cytokinetics’ research and development pipeline, and diversify Cytokinetics’ access to capital.
