  • It is no coincidence that Flag Day and the birthday of the United States Army are on the same day. This annual observance reminds us of the dedication and sacrifices made by our military service members—those at home and abroad. Through their service, veterans have shown patriotism, bravery, and heroism—all of which equip them to transition their careers to the FBI.  At the Bureau, we have established comprehensive benefits, wellness programs, and employee resource groups to help veterans acclimate to a new career and work culture. If you are a wounded veteran, the FBI Wounded Warrior Internship Program (WWIP) offers you a formal means of transitioning to the civilian workforce through rewarding assignments and career-driven experiences. Disabled veterans rated 30% or more can also receive a one-time benefit of up to 104 hours of medical leave. Join a new mission at the FBI. • As the leading federal law enforcement agency, the FBI places a high priority on training and development for its new agent trainees (NATs), who prepare to stay ahead of the threat using realistic scenarios at Hogan’s Alley.  In collaboration with Hollywood set designers, the FBI created Hogan’s Alley, which mimics small towns across the nation. The town depicts a realistic setting featuring a post office, a car dealership, a theater, a motel, and more. This immersion training is complete with actors portraying innocent civilians and potential threats, forcing the NATs to assess situations quickly and accurately. These drills combine all the skills that the Basic Field Training Course offers, such as defensive tactics, investigative techniques, and firearms skills.  The FBI continues to invest in Hogan's Alley and immersive training scenarios in an effort to ensure the safety of agents, local law enforcement partners, and civilians alike. This investment also ensures that the Bureau can train and prepare professionals from all backgrounds and disciplines to be successful special agents. Are you ready to forge a new path?
