Last week, Ermenegildo Zegna Group CEO and Chairman Gildo Zegna participated in the Cercle d'Economia in Barcelona, moderated by Marc Puig Chairman and CEO of Puig together with Simone Bagel-Trah, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board and of the Shareholders’ Committee of Henkel. He talked in the panel dedicated to Family business growth: generational transition, governing bodies and public markets, emphasizing that family values and unity are the two foundation pillars to build a long-term successful family business. He also remarked that the decision to go public was a milestone step that needed to be carefully assessed. “Being listed is a responsibility. You add a new stakeholder to your business; for this we are today more thoughtful in our decision-making process, more organized, and more responsive”. He also shared a simple lesson from being a public company: “Never betray your roots and be open and honest with investors, make them understand your long-term trajectory”.

Ermenegildo Zegna Group today announced unaudited revenues of €463.2 million for the first quarter of 2024, +8.1% year-on-year (YoY) from €428.3 million in the first quarter of 2023 (+10.7% at constant currency and -5.3% on an organic growth basis). Gildo Zegna, Chairman and CEO of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, said: “Closing the first quarter of 2024 with double-digit revenue growth on a constant currency basis is reassuring given the challenges that the sector is facing. Our growth in the Americas - also in double digits - and the ongoing successful delivery on our Zegna One Brand strategy give me additional assurance that we are moving in the right direction. I am confident in the decisions we are making to accelerate our direct control of the business, in particular at Thom Browne, Inc. and TOM FORD FASHION, and we have also reinforced our talent and leadership across all levels, knowing how critical our people are to delivering results. Finally, we are continuing our focus on clienteling and customer experience, both of which will further strengthen the long-term value of all our brands. A highlight of our efforts to provide unforgettable experiences was the launch in Milan of Oasi Zegna, an immersive exhibition that we brought to life at the Group’s headquarters during Salone del Mobile. Over 26,000 people visited the installation throughout the week – an impressive indicator of the ZEGNA brand’s strength. Looking at the rest of the year, we have a clear and defined path in front of us. I am confident that we are taking the right actions to make our brands even stronger and to deliver on our medium-term ambitions.” Read more on: https://lnkd.in/dyKNsybd

Today, on the occasion of Earth Day, Ermenegildo Zegna Group releases its third Sustainability Report and is proud to announce that last Friday, one of the Group’s brands, ZEGNA, has been named the official curator of the Milanese Piazza del Duomo's iconic flowerbeds for the next three years, a green space inspired by the environmental responsibility philosophy of Oasi Zegna. Gildo Zegna, Chairman and CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna Group: “Since our founding in 1910, our commitment to people, community, and nature has been at the core of our journey. We have always believed that the highest quality products come from the highest quality natural resources, and that these resources must be cared for. The Sustainability Report we are issuing today – the third for the Ermenegildo Zegna Group – is rooted in these simple principles that have guided us yesterday and today and will continue to lead our path moving forward. None of the important steps we took along our journey would have been possible without the support of our people worldwide; so, I would like to thank each and every one of them across the whole Group. Our road started in 1910; that’s almost 114 years of growth, resilience, transformation, expansion, and success. The values that inspired my grandfather and namesake, Ermenegildo Zegna, still inspire us today. As we face the future and consider the work still ahead of us, these are the values that will pave our tomorrow.” Read more on our Sustainability Report 2023: https://lnkd.in/e7g-62Rn

Ermenegildo Zegna Group today delivered a strong full year 2023 performance with profit doubling to €136 million, up 107.8% from €65.3 million in FY 2022, and a profit margin of 7.1% compared to 4.4% in FY 2022. Ermenegildo “Gildo” Zegna, the Group’s Chairman and CEO, said: “2023 has been a milestone year for our Group. We delivered outstanding results, including more than doubling our profit from 2022 to reach €136 million. We have also fulfilled our 2023 sustainability commitments including those focused on traceability, diversity and inclusion and in renewable energy adoption. We are on track with the integration of the TOM FORD FASHION business, which is enriching our unique proposition also in glamour luxury. 2023 was also an important year for the Thom Browne, Inc. and Zegna brands. Thom Browne celebrated its twentieth anniversary reaffirming the brand as a symbol of modern luxury tailoring. ZEGNA continued a well-defined journey to ensuring its place as one of the strongest brands in absolute luxury menswear. As a Group, we continued to invest in our 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘢, our in-house supply chain, – which includes some of the finest and most important Italian high-end textile producers fully integrated with our unique luxury manufacturing capabilities. We recently announced the latest addition to the 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘢, a new state-of-the-art footwear and leather goods production facility in Parma, Italy, expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Looking ahead, I see a clear and defined path forward for our Group. In the volatile world we live in, we must continue to be increasingly responsive, flexible and authentic to who we are. The Ermenegildo Zegna Group is a guardian of brands, and while short-term results are important, our top priority must always be their overall trajectory. What we should do is well defined; there will be challenges, but we know how to tackle them and how important it is to plan for the long term”. Read more on: https://lnkd.in/dcaEztze

Last week has been unveiled in Milan TOM FORD FASHION's Winter 2024 collection. Beauty is an all-encompassing feeling. For Peter Hawkings, it extends from the perfection of tailoring and the lustrous sheen of fabric to the intensity of smell, from the depth of color in make-up and the allure of a pair of sunglasses to the way a woman or a man carries themself. Hawkings expresses such a vision in the TOM FORD language, with unremitting focus, vibrant and concise. Empowered, glamorous people are elegantly attired to seduce. The woman and the man are complementary, one mirroring the choices of the other. Ermenegildo Zegna Group #TOMFORDWINTER24 #TOMFORD

Ermenegildo Zegna Group today announced strong unaudited preliminary revenues of €1.9 billion for the full year 2023, up 27.6% year-over-year and up 29.7% year-over-year on a constant currency basis, with an organic growth rate of 19.3%. Revenues for the fourth quarter of 2023 were €570 million, up 40.1% year-over-year and up 42.9% year-over-year on a constant currency basis, with an organic growth rate of 19.6%. Ermenegildo “Gildo” Zegna, Chairman and CEO of the Zegna Group, said: “I am very proud of the Group’s success over the past year, which is demonstrated by our strong and continued revenues growth. The significant increase in our revenues in 2023, and especially from our network of directly operated stores, is a clear indication that demand for our brands remains healthy, and that we are successfully executing our strategy to increase their desirability and solidify their position as leaders in the luxury market. The continuing improvement in the ZEGNA brand productivity, in particular, is a testament to the strength of our execution, supported by our successful merchandising and CRM. Our integrated supply chain benefits all three of our brands and drives ZEGNA’s leadership in Made-to-Measure and product customization. We are focused on further enhancing our Made-to-Measure and personalization offering with the introduction and ongoing rollout of ZEGNA X, which is empowering our style advisors to further serve our customers using the latest technology.” “While we have seen broad-based strength, I am particularly pleased by the continued growth in EMEA and the very positive performance in the US, which was driven by strong double-digit ZEGNA sales via the retail channel. These strengths, coupled with the rebound in the Greater China Region, are testaments to the soundness of our long-term strategy. Our performance across all our key geographies reflects the plans we set out at our second Capital Markets Day at the NYSE in December 2023 and charts a path forward to reach our medium-term goals even in an environment that remains challenging, with the invaluable contributions of our management team and all our employees across the Group and its brands.” Zegna Thom Browne, Inc.
