For the first time, the LVMH ME Excellent program has expanded to include Vocational High Schools, continuing to raise awareness about our savoir-faire. Over 190 students from the Valsesia and Novara areas visited the Loro Piana production plants. The second edition of the Adotta una Scuola initiative, in partnership with Altagamma, continues with the IPIA Magni School in Valsesia. Students had the opportunity to visit Loro Piana Textile departments, enriching their knowledge of yarns and fabrics production and discovering with our Knitwear division how to take care of details and to continue pursuing excellence. #LoroPiana

The applications for the second edition of the Maestri d’Eccellenza Award are open! A competition organized by Mestieri d’Eccellenza LVMH, Confartigianato Imprese, The National Chamber for Italian Fashion, and in collaboration with Loro Piana. The award aims to support and promote Italian artisanal excellence and Made in Italy products selecting 9 finalists across three categories: Master Artisan of Excellence, Emerging Master Artisan of Excellence, and Master of Innovation of Excellence. Meet the winners of the Loro Piana Knit Design Award 2024. A glimpse behind the scenes: discover the winning project “Cavalieri, A History Of Innovation” by Pierre Sauvageot and Björn Backes. The project draws inspiration from the noble lineage of ancient knights, reimagining the application of Loro Piana yarns by crafting a cashmere armour. By seamlessly blending the softness of the fibres with the strength of iron, the students fashioned an iconic piece that pays homage to the past while pushing the boundaries of innovation. This year’s jury was comprised of Loro Piana representatives including the Maison CEO Damien Bertrand, Alessandra Varianini, Sabine de Marigny and Lucia De Cet, and external fashion experts Alexander Fury, Anders Christian Madsen, Anna Dello Russo, Beka Gvishiani, Gilles Denis, Pauline Dujancourt and Sara Sozzani Maino. #LoroPiana #LoroPianaKnitDesignAward

Loro Piana is pleased to announce that the winners of the 8th edition of the Knit Design Award are students Pierre Sauvageot and Bjorn Backes with their Professor Herody François-Xavier from Duperré. The winning project is titled “Cavalieri, A History Of Innovation”. Their ⁠vision and how they explored the concept of ‘Fast Forward Heritage’ was truly unique. An important initiative for the Maison, the Knit Design Award underlines the importance to support craftsmanship, innovation, and creativity. In 2024, the Maison celebrates 100 years of history and heritage and the theme of this year’s competition, ‘Fast Forward Heritage’, is a conversation between the past, the present, and the future.
