Exploring the ocean and bringing it back to you and others through great media is a mission of mine, so a few years ago my son Mark and I founded the ocean science, media, and exploration non-profit OceanX. Starting on August 18, you will be able to see the OceanX ship, OceanXplorer, and a team of ocean explorers in a new series that is coming out on Disney+, Hulu, and National Geographic called OceanXplorers. The six-part series is like a modern-day version of the Jacques Cousteau series that inspired me when I was young. The most talented people in nature media—James Cameron, National Geographic, and the BBC Natural History Unit—created it. Here is a one-minute trailer that I’m sharing in honor of this week’s World Ocean Day. I hope it gets you excited to watch the whole series when it debuts in August. #OceanXplorers
