A startling 44% of Americans feel they’ve lost time in their lives due to poor mental health. This loss can look different for everyone – from missing out on major life events to not feeling present or counting down the hours until it’s time to sleep again. Even more concerning, 50% of those diagnosed with depression and/or anxiety said they’ve lost years to their mental health struggles, while 12% said they’ve lost decades. No one should walk through life without truly living it. That’s why access to proactive mental health care and high-quality, personalized treatment is essential. Creating a workplace culture that actively promotes mental health and wellbeing can help employees feel safer and more confident in accessing support when and how they need it – so no one feels they're missing out on life. https://lnkd.in/dhmZ4miC #MentalHealth #EmployeeMentalHealth #MentalHealthBenefits

June is PTSD Awareness Month. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects millions of people worldwide – from veterans and first responders to survivors of accidents, natural disasters and personal traumas. Symptoms of PTSD can include distressing memories, recurring nightmares, feeling detached from friends and family and more. Some of these symptoms may even be noticeable in the workplace, leading to increased absences or lower productivity. Employers can help! A high-quality workplace mental health program can provide support and treatment to help employees cope with trauma-related challenges. Workplace mental health programs can also provide services in response to traumatic events that have occurred in or around the workplace, such as natural disasters, robberies or workplace violence, to help reduce the long-term impact of these events. This proactive approach to mental health helps support the healing process so no one suffers in silence. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and supported. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 We understand that #Pride goes beyond the celebrations – and inclusion is not just a buzzword – it is an essential pillar of a thriving, innovative and compassionate society. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and valued for who they are. LGBTQIA+ community members are more likely than others to experience mental health struggles, but they don’t have to face these challenges alone. Employers can support their team members by respecting their identities, creating a safe and accepting environment and providing easy access to personalized mental health care. Receiving support and guidance from a counselor or mental health coach who understands the challenges and viewpoints of the LGBTQIA+ community is invaluable. Having access to personalized care with a provider they can build a bond with can truly make or break someone's ability to reach their goals and thrive. Let's continue championing diversity and fostering belonging in the workplace and beyond. #HappyPride #EmployeeMentalHealth #WorkplaceInclusion
