Yesterday ConnectSafely CEO Larry Magid had the opportunity to give a talk about the history of moral tech panics at a global summit hosted by Meta and its Safety Advisory Council. As it turns out, we've been freaking out about tech since at least 2,400 years ago that we can document and many of the fears about Generative AI, social media and other modern tech are reminiscent of centuries old fears. I posted a narrated version of my slides, plus a couple of articles on the subject at https://lnkd.in/gSfDdrAV
