Recently, our colleague Darren Herman hosted 150 leaders from the east coast technology ecosystem at the Ardsley Country Club for the annual Silicon Alley Sports networking event and fundraiser. We were proud to support Darren and Silicon Alley Sports as they raised awareness and funds for Team Dayā ( दया), which builds primary schools to serve students in some of the most impoverished places around the world.    Darren launched Silicon Alley Sports in 2007, and the event has grown to contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to local, national, and international nonprofit organizations.   Learn more about Silicon Alley Sports and its upcoming Silicon Alley Tennis Invitational on July 24, here: https://lnkd.in/gwwiRPwW

Chris G. joined Bloomberg TV during the 2024 #SuperReturn International conference in Berlin to discuss global central bank interest rate policy and its impact on private markets.   Chris spoke about the normalizing dynamics of rising capital costs, cautious bank lending, stabilizing valuations and the role private markets play for business. The conversation also touched on future capital market activity and buyout exits, with Chris noting increased transaction activity as the industry transitions to higher-for-longer interest rates. In 2003, when Dave Hamilton was introduced to the FLAG Flag Football (Friends, Lesbians And Gays), he found a deep sense of community and empowerment through sports that he had been missing. Recently, Dave sat down with The Athletic to discuss his journey from retired high school football player to Gay Flag Football Hall of Famer.   For more than 20 years, Dave has been a dedicated member of FLAG Flag Football, he was a player, captain and eventually commissioner of the league, where his impactful leadership has advanced the league’s role in fostering community engagement and awarding scholarships to high school students who work to make their school safer and more inclusive for LGBTQ+ individuals.  In 2017, he secured partnerships from the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins for the Gay Bowl XVII.   Today, he serves as the Director of Partnerships for the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sports organization that seeks to promote the positive social and athletic enjoyment of American flag football.
