Our mission is to create a world in which ALL people have equal access to the future.
About us
The ASU+GSV Summit, co-founded by Michael Moe and Deborah Quazzo, began in 2010 with a collaboration between Global Silicon Valley (GSV) and Arizona State University (ASU). Our north star is that ALL people have equal access to the future, and we believe that innovations at scale in "Pre-K to Gray" learning and skills are critical to achieving that end. The inaugural Summit, held in Scottsdale at ASU's innovation center SkySong, brought roughly 350 people together to explore how we can accelerate education and innovation. The convening was a free-flowing exchange of ideas, conversations, and debates. It was also a vision of where things could go and why. The early pioneers who came together in 2010 brought with them the foundation and energy to catalyze this moment. The magic was in the mix—investors, entrepreneurs, educators, and innovators who would otherwise never be in the same room together, but all of whom shared a passion for driving education and innovation. Now celebrating its 15th year, the ASU+GSV Summit has become the world's most important and impactful gathering of leaders across "Pre-K to Gray" education and workforce learning. Hosted in San Diego, the annual event has grown to attract over 16,000 yearly attendees in person and virtually. Past keynote speakers and honorees have included Presidents George Bush, Barack Obama and Vicente Fox Quesada, Former Secretaries of Education Arne Duncan and John King, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Gina Raimondo, Reed Hastings, John Legend, Condoleezza Rice, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Priscilla Chan, Laurene Powell Jobs, and more.
