🌟 Exciting News from Brooklyn! 🌟 We are thrilled to support Brooklyn Org (BKO) with the launch of their latest awareness campaign, “Show Brooklyn Some Love,” which invites all Brooklynites to become active, engaged backers of grassroots organizations driving social change in their backyards. The campaign, developed by Brooklyn-based creative agency Mother Design, highlights the stories of nonprofits making Brooklyn a more fair, just, and equitable place. It aims to inspire and engage a new wave of Brooklyn residents and a new generation of Brooklyn givers to champion local organizations. At Anat, our goal is to work with our clients to move people to action, and we are so proud to work with Brooklyn Org to do just that. Check out the campaign images all over Brooklyn! “Show Brooklyn Some Love” premiered at the Barclays Center on May 18 and will be featured across subways, buses, billboards, and more. The centerpiece is a takeover of the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg. Our team recently got a tour to see the campaign in action! NYC nonprofits are facing severe staffing shortages, with some positions experiencing over 40% vacancy rates. A new Center for an Urban Future report highlights the workforce shortages caused by city contracts that don't provide adequate wages for frontline workers. I was incredibly proud to have worked on the recent press conference in support of the Museum of Jewish Heritage's initiative to bring 8th graders to the museum to learn about the Holocaust and antisemitism. Yesterday, we had our inaugural BX Factor Pitch Competition! Co-sponsored by Santander and the Yankees, this competition included five local small business competing for a $10k prize. These businesses were Green Canvas Productions, Gomez Design Studio, SciGence, Mario’s of Arthur Ave, and Bronx Native. We’re excited to announce that Gomez Design Studio was the winner! Owner Tiffany Gomez started this company to build furniture from unused scraps, often pieces that are left at construction sites. It’s not just an amazing idea — it’s also environmentally friendly! Thank you to Christina (Sorbera) DeLay from Santander, Dr. Meisha Porter & Winston Peters for judging the competition and Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson for delivering the opening remarks!
