Each year, we submit to their LGBTQ+ Diversity Index, Italy’s first benchmarking tool aimed at honoring the best companies to work for people from the LGBTQ+ community. “I feel so lucky to be able to bring my whole self to work. It fuels my involvement in our diversity and inclusion efforts at the firm, because I know it takes necessary time and attention to continually ensure belonging is genuine. Working with Parks gives us a prompt for asking questions and collaborating on inclusive solutions. For example, Bianca Bononi and I assessed the annual health check-up benefit offered to employees because at the time it was described as available to only those who identify as either male or female. Turns out, transgender health check-ups are equally available from our provider and now we can include that in what we offer. Sometimes, all it takes is a closer look and asking questions. Having these benefits available and known by our people is so important for awareness and inclusion, even for those who they do not apply for.
