How Do I Watch Movies on My VR Headset?

Because the PlayStation VR headset shows whatever your PS4 or PS5 is doing, including movies, all you need to do to stream films is put the unit on while one is playing. You can customize some settings, however. The main one is the screen size you'll see; here's how to do it.

  1. From your PS4 home screen, select Settings.

  2. Scroll down and select Devices.

  3. Choose PlayStation VR.

  4. Choose Screen Size.

  5. Choose the size of screen you want: small, medium, or large. The medium setting is best for most options, but choose large for a huge screen that makes you feel like you're sitting in the front row at a theater.

  6. Start up a movie, either through a video app or with the PS4's built-in Blu-ray player, and it will show in your PS VR headset. To reset the screen's perspective while the movie is playing, look to where you want the center to be and press the Options button on your controller.

Can I Watch 4K Movies in PS VR?

While the PlayStation 4 Pro model can handle 4K video and games, you'll have a limit when you're watching something through PS VR. The screens you'll be watching on have a resolution of 1080, so that's the highest you can get.

Can You Watch Netflix on PlayStation VR?

You can use PlayStation VR to watch anything you can run through your PlayStation 4, including streaming apps.
