Blink Can Now Sort and Combine Multiple Camera Clips

This feature can give you a more complete picture of what's happening on several Blink security cameras.

Home security cameras can capture a lot of video that you have to wade through to see all the particulars of an event, and this is especially true if you have multiple cameras. Blink wants to make that whole process easier.

In an announcement sent to Lifewire, Blink introduced a new feature for Blink Subscription Plus Plan customers called Blink Moments, that collects and sorts through captured videos to create a streamlined clip that shows you a single, condensed story.

The Blink app now finds the clips that go together to create a complete Moment.

According to the press release, the new feature is in response to the volume of clips that can be captured by some home security systems. "Today, Blink customers have an average of three cameras per household and generate hundreds of motion events. With a large volume of footage, manually scrolling through individual clips can be time-consuming," the company wrote in the press release.

If Blink Moments happens to capture a video clip, or "Moment," you would like to keep—maybe the kids playing outside or the family pets exploring the yard—you can download and share those videos using your smartphone.

Blink Moments is only available to Blink Subscription Plus Plan members. A Blink Subscription Plus Plan costs $10 per month or $100 per year, but you also get some features that aren't available with the Blink Basic Plan ($3/mo or $30/year), including an unlimited number of devices like the Blink Outdoor 4 Wireless Floodlight Security Camera, custom snooze options, up to 60 days of video cloud storage and 90 minutes of continuous live view per session, plus a discount on Blink devices through Amazon.
