i’ve never understood how you can just make an oc with no story attached. this seems to be a visual artist thing, where maybe it’s fun to draw a cool design in the void over and over. but i am permanently stuck in writer mode, so to me a character is inseparable from a character arc. with no story, no internal tension that gets set up and resolved, no character moments, there is no character. they have to be doing something
