If you're a fan of tweaking Chrome's experimental, under-the-hood features using the about:labs feature, here's a change worth noting: about:labs is now about:flags.

We'd heard last week that this change was in the works on the nightly Chromium builds, but this morning the dev release of Chrome updated with the about:flags change in place. So, for example, if you want to enable Chrome Instant (now on Windows and Mac), you'll need to type about:flags into your address bar instead of about:labs.

The reason behind the change, which includes a daunting new warning at the top of the page? According to Download Squad's Lee Matthews, Google wants "to make the page less inviting and clarify the fact that experimental features listed on the page could very well cause users problems."

Makes sense. As with all experimental features, proceed with the rebranded about:flags tweaks at your own risk.
