“I thought you said this couldn’t happen anymore,” she says.
“I wasn’t in my right mind.”
He tries to kiss her again, but Lucrezia laughs.
“And you are now?” she asks.
There’s blood running from his forehead and his pupils are still blown wide by adrenaline.
