We worked with CEO and co-founder Edzard van der Wyck to create a pilling comb that would encourage customers to take care of their material and extend the lifespan of their garments. 🛒 Most pilling combs are made from non-recyclable composite materials, perform badly, have high minimum order quantities and long lead times. We designed and manufactured a bio-based, mono-material, 100% recycled and recyclable comb that we make on-demand with no tooling costs. We manufacture the desk accessory range from recycled bioplastic, on demand, using 3D manufacturing to remove the need for tooling and warehousing. As we use 100% recycled material and offer a take-back scheme, this is an example of a truly circular product. This year, we launched bFRIENDS 3.0, the third iteration of the collection, at the International design fair Maison Objet in Paris. 🏆 bFRIENDS won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2022, which has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after signs of quality and good design.
