Ask Google Assistant to remember things

Get a little help to remember things. Ask Google Assistant to remember your mom's favorite cake, your bike locker number, or the last place you stored your passport.

Note: If Digital Wellbeing is enabled, this feature may be restricted or blocked by Downtime, Filters or Do not disturb.

Step 1. Tell Assistant what to remember

Say "Hey Google, remember that [thing to remember]." For example, you can say "Hey Google, remember that my spare keys are in the kitchen cabinet."

Step 2. Ask about what Assistant remembers

Say "Hey Google, where or what is [thing to remember]." For example, you can say "Hey Google, where are my spare keys?"

Optional. Delete what you've asked Assistant to remember

Note: You can choose to delete your activities individually or delete all.

Delete a single item

  1. Open myactivity.google.com.
  2. Find the item you’d like to delete, then tap More menu and then Delete.

Delete all items

  1. Open myactivity.google.com.
  2. Tap Delete All and then Confirm.

Delete personal details

Some of the information you tell Assistant will update your settings in addition to your query logs in My Activity. Examples include your nickname, information about your close contacts, and important addresses. For this information, when you delete the history from My Activity, it'll not be deleted from settings. To delete this information, you can:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your account and then Assistant settings and then You.
  3. Find the personal detail you'd like to remove and delete it.
