MAX
The MAX function returns the largest numeric value in a set of number values, date/time values or duration values.
To learn the basics about using formulas and functions, see Formulas overview and Functions overview.
MAX(value, value…)
value: Any value or collection containing any values. Date/time values or duration values can’t be mixed with other value types. If either of these value types is included, all values must be of the same value type. A string value or boolean value can be included in a referenced cell, but can’t be entered directly as an argument to the function.
value…: Optionally include one or more additional values or collections.
Notes
A string value or boolean value included in a referenced cell is not considered in determining which value is the maximum value.
