UN Flagship Report On Disability And Development 2024

The United Nations Disability and Development Report 2024 is a flagship publication requested by United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/75/154. The publication was prepared by the Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD) of the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs and is the outcome of a collective effort, involving United Nations entities and a wide range of other contributors. Contributions from Member States and other stakeholders to the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Disability that enabled this publication are acknowledged. Compendium on Sport for Development and Peace

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes the “growing contribution of sport to the realization of development and peace in its promotion of tolerance and respect, and the contributions it makes to the empowerment of women and of young people, individuals and communities, as well as to health, education and social inclusion objectives” (2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development A/RES/70/1, paragraph 37).
