In a recent interview with Bloomberg, our CEO and Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa Mohammed Akoojee unveiled strategic plans to meet the growing global demand for critical minerals driven by electrification. We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in Latin America. The Port of Callao in Peru has inaugurated its first electric charging facilities at the terminal, representing a pivotal step towards achieving our decarbonisation targets. This state-of-the-art charging station is powered exclusively by renewable energy sourced from solar panels. It will service twenty fully electric trucks, a development made possible through our strategic partnership with Enel X. In the face of booming auto sales, congestion at Turkish ports stopping new vehicles is a serious issue - not only for efficient delivery but as a cause of price inflation. With the traditional way of moving automotive (Roll on roll off or RoRo) being delayed, there was an opportunity for us to use different methods to solve the problem. To improve flow into the country, we placed SUVs in containers, meaning they could bypass RoRo delays and keep the automotive trade moving and growing. Cricket’s coming to the USA. Cricket icon and DP World Global Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar joined former India Head Coach Ravi Shastri to bring our Beyond Boundaries Initiative to New York. The Beyond Boundaries Initiative empowers communities through the delivery of cricket kits and equipment via repurposed shipping containers. The unveiling and kit donation to local juniors in New York City marks the eighth container across four countries and three continents, progressing towards our commitment of delivering 50 containers and 2,500 cricket kits worldwide.
